358/2 Days Org. XIII Members Review

Finally got a copy of my beloved, long awaited 358/2... Obviously I haven't completed the entire game yet, but I have played as all the members in Mission mode. Well, all the original members, none of the secret ones yet... Anyway, I felt like reviewing them, so here we go.

I had fun playing with Xemnas. He has lightsabers!! That automatically makes him cool. Fighting, he's pretty quick, but just walking he's a bit of a slowpoke. Heck, he doesn't walk -- he floats. Chalk another one up for the cool factor!! The limit break is weird, though. It's like a giant sphere of doom that actually isn't that doomtacular.

Xigbar was a pain. Sure, he attacks pretty quick, but with every attack, he flies backward. It's not easy hitting your target unless you've got a wall behind him to keep him in place and loosing the lock on. Plus he misses a lot, and sometimes I don't even think he's attacking. The limit break was kind of cool though. It kind of reminded me of Halo.... But you zoom in and take out your enemies in sniper fashion.

Xaldin was pretty cool, too. Even though he flies up sometimes when attacking, making stuff on the ground harder to hit, his attacks were pretty good ... Fast enough, too. His limit break was some swishy whirly thing that did pretty good damage... He better be a good fighter, after the way he messed me up at Beast's Castle in II.

Didn't like Vexen. I mean honestly, who fights with a shield? Yes, that includes Goofy. Only reason I keep him around is for Valor Form. Anyway, IV is a magic geared fighter, and attack magic isn't really my thing. I didn't play long enough with him to find out what his limit break was.

I had hopes for Lexaeus. I saw the high attack and HP stats and thought "Now THIS will be fun." but Oooohhhhh how I was wrong. He's slower than a snail joggin through molasses, plus hard to steer and hard to get to hit what you want unless you're locked on. Limit break was pretty pointless, too.

Zexion is another magic character, so I didn't like him too much. And a book? What where they thinking? "Hey, Imma attack you with my big scary book and crazy emo hair!" ... No offence to emos. I don't know what kind of label I'd be, but I've been called emo before. ... I don't think I remember his limit break. That's short term memory loss for you.

Saix was OK. He attacked pretty fast and had a long range, two things I appreciate. His attacks weren't that strong though. He didn't really want to go where you told him either. Limit break was real confusing though. First time I saw it I was kind of like "WHAT is going ON??!!" Basically it's a mass hysteria version of Roxas's limit but you can't see what the heck you're doing or where you're going.

I had fun with Axel, too. Even for a close range character, the battle design was nicely executed. And why can't I remember all these limit breaks???!!!

Demyx!!! I remember his!! But as far as regular fighting goes, I wasn't that happy with. He's extremely close range and doesn't hit very strong. Limit break is kind of like stuff he did in KHII. Which is nice, since I hoped he'd have SOMETHING cool about him.

Luxord was weird to get used to playing. His cards make him kind of a close fighter, but they circle around him so he's good for large groups of heartless. I didn't get the limit break though... A card just pops up. I guess it's kind of like a shield, but it only pops up on one side of him so it's not a very good one...

Heeeey Marly!! (Inside joke) Marluxia was the first Organization character I played as, and I wasn't dissappointed. The scythe is pretty cool and he's easy to handle. Limit break is good for taking out lots of enemies, which is usually what's around you when your health gets that low anyway.

I wanted to like Larxene, I really did, but I just couldn't. She's fast, but that's about it. Her attacks didn't hit very hard, but she had enough stamina to survive a decent amount of time. Her limit is sort of a cross between Roxas, Axel, and Saix's. Fast and all over the place, but doesn't hurt a lot.

And Roxas's stuff is just stuff I'm used to, so I'm not going into detail. If you're any kind of KH fan, you already know how he works. And I played all these characters using the same panels as what I had set for Roxas, so some of them might not've reached their potential, but I wasn't messing with ol' Roxy's stuff. Out of all the characters (excluding Roxas), I'd have to say my favorites were Marly, Xaldin, and Xemnas. I just love a man in pink.
