YTC: Hard Game's Night
I found this on Halolz and it was all EPIC WIN and stuff and stuff. It's Beatles meets Left 4 Dead, what could be better than 60's music and zombies? My favorite part's probably the bit about the witch. Oh, and here's the real song, in case you were wondering. Happy gaming!

More Batman
K, get this -- there's gonna be an Arkham Asylum 2. Don't get me wrong, I love Batman, but come on! Two? Already?! I've barely scratched the surface of the first game!... Then again, it'll probably take two years for it to even come out. Well, time to get on with the first. -dusts off 360 controller-
And I found this interesting, too... IGN's 360 game of the year was Assassin's Creed II. Sure, I'll admit, I haven't played anything dealing with Assassin's Creed, but I'd see the ad just about every time I'd go to YouTube and think, "DANG, that looks like a good game!" but other than that it didn't really cross my mind. While I'm in the mood for checkin' into games, might as well go look at it, too.

Rules for life? Play Left 4 Dead...
Yeah, sorry, this is a quick one. I feel like crap today and, well, saw this picture on Halolz and felt like it needed some attention. Still haven't gotten around to playing L4D, but hey, I understand it. If I felt better right now, I'd have laughed so hard when I first saw this... But it is comforting to know I'd survive a zombie apocalypse.

WoW and robots?!
First weird thing I heard recently was that a man actually beat World of Warcraft. I asked myself, "How do you BEAT an online game?" Apparently by doing almost 1,000 quests. I'm not gonna argue.
OK, I'll admit this isn't really something to do with games, but it was pretty cool. Last night my dad found a video of a breakdancing robot! It was all cute and gangster and stuff.
Yeah, it's close to noon so I just got up... Not much remembering going on...

Zelda on Wii?!
Sure, we've all thought about it -- a full-fledged LoZ made specifically for the Wii.... (Cause let's be honest with ourselves, TP was geared towards the GameCube.) Well, YouTube or IGN it, cause the Zelda producer just had an interview where it was mentioned. It'll use the Wii Motion Plus, which means it should be calibrated pretty good, and they're changing up the gameplay (hopefully for the better). This is good and bad news to me, since I'd love to see a new Zelda come out, but I have no Wii. More should be known about it at E3 next year... -marks calendar-
And for those of you (like me) who finished TP waaaay too early, there's a new DS game coming out the 7th, Spirit Tracks.

Crisis Core .:Continued:.
I am watching this clip right now... And do not appreciate all the details that went into Jenova. Mainly the eyeball on her boob. It's making me sad to watch Zack in action again, but I'm checking to make sure it's got the thing I mentioned on #4 of the hate list (and it does). Ya'll better love me for going through the torment.
Y'know, I just thought of something. Fighting Sephiroth in Dissidia is like, "12 feet of terror" (Yeah, you could probably put a sex joke in that), but if you're fighting using him, it's more like "MASAMUNE FTW!" Definitely my top 3 characters in that game are Terra, Zidane, and Sephiroth... But Cloud's alternate outfit is pretty dang sexy. NO, I didn't just say that. The inner fangirl is taking over. Her name's Barbara.
That was so random.
I really gotta learn Japanese. And Latin, so I know what the heck One-Winged Angel is saying. I look it up, but always forget. Something about hate and terror and destruction and other adjectives that describe terrorists and natural disasters, all followed by "SE-PHI-ROTH!"
Haha, yeah, gotta keep with that T rating, the whole no blood thing. Sephiroth AND Cloud were skewered with razor-sharp swords, but do they bleed? Noooo. This is giving a bad example to children. I can see it now...
Kid #1: Ahh! You just stabbed me in the heart with a butter knife! (Tonberry reference, anyone?)
Kid #2: That's OK. I saw it in Final Fantasy. You won't even bleed!
... Was it just me, or was that very morbid?
Aww, and I just love this part. You can really tell Cloud cares about Tifa. It just warms my heart... Then crushes it when he gets thrown around like a helpless slice of ham on a toothpick.
OK, Seph, dude, if you're trying to save your mommy or whatever, why slice off her head? That would not be my first idea. And lovely guttural noises, Cloud. I know you just got stabbed in the diaphragm and all, but really? It's like when you're in battle and you beat an enemy, it kind of sounds like it farts when it dies. And also, even though he just got a huge sword stuck through his ribs, how does Cloud throw Sephiroth all over the place? I would not be able to do that. I wouldn't even think of that. Then again, I'm not a Final Fantasy character or one of their programmers.
Oh, yeah, just walk it off Cloud. You only had your upper intestines carved out by the "sharpest sword ever." Be a MAY-UN! Oh, look, he fell over. My bad.
Uhhgg, Hojo. Frickin' hate that guy. I felt the need to throw my hatred out there. And yeah, the video is in Japanese. I already know what it says (nevermind the fact that I can't remember it...) but it was the first one I clicked on, so go ahead and watch it. My lovely commentary should be enough explanation for you. Speaking of which, I had a lot of fun with this...

Crisis Core Review
Yeah, it's been a while... Again. Maybe I should try to update every Saturday? Who am I kidding, it wouldn't get done. Either way, I recently finished Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII... That was seriously the saddest ending ever. More sad than FFX. But I hated X, so I might have cried at the end of it if Seymour Flux had just died the first time I battled him, instead of the 5,482nd. Yes, that one battle made me hate the entire game. I just had a cranergy and those things make me bounce off the walls (and topics), so let's get on with this show.
If you don't already know, CC is a prequel to VII. It follows the (all too short) life of Zack Fair and tells more about how Sephy went bad, Cloud got the Buster Sword, and who Aerith was always talking about being in SOLDIER. Isn't a bit ironic I love Aerith in CC, but hate her everywhere else? Probably cause she didn't know Cloud yet and couldn't try to get in Tifa's way. (ClouTi FTW!) Oops, lemme try again....
K, so if we're talkin' about the battle system, it definitely has some getting used to, but I liked it in the end. What I really hated was you only have 5 materia slots, so you don't really reach full potential... In my opinion. Heck, I'm still used to VII and having like 10 slots on Vincent's Death Bringer. Is it weird that that and chocobos are the main thing I remember from that game? And that horrible Gold Saucer... Uhhgg. Another problem I had with the battles is how it says "Entering Combat Mode" or something at the beginning of every battle. It's not just words, this weird chick says it, too. If I'm not expecting it (which is most of the time) it'll scare the bajeebuz out of me. Seriously, you should see me jump. But I have say it was kinda cool it when said "Conflict Resolved" when you win. "In other words, you kicked his butt!" as my dad said.
... And I really have to brag about the music in this game. Honestly some of my favorite music in any game ever (including any Guitar Hero. Is that weird?)
The characters, wow, the characters were just... Wow. Zack was really likable to me. He kind of was like Cloud, but he seemed a much more optimistic, outgoing person. Not that I don't love Cloud. Must... stop... before... inner fangirl... takes over!!..... Ahem, now, some of the new characters in this game (and also never, ever mentioned ever, ever again, anywhere) include Genesis, another human project; Angeal, who talks about honor all the time then goes and kills his own mom (was I the only one who saw the irony in that?); and Cissnei, a Turk who's obviously sweet on Zack and never tells you her real name. Seriously, I would kill just to know her real name. It's killing me on the inside. But not really. I'll probably forget about it in a week or so.
The story was pretty well thought-out. It explains pretty much everything you wanted to know from VII and did it in a nice, timely fashion. I mean, after about 30 minutes of playing, I really felt into it, trying to become 1st class SOLDIER. Or that just may be a cosplaying mindset. Who knows? Anyway, it does explain stuff from VII, and even has time to add in its own little story about Sephy, Angeal, and Genesis. But his poem was kinda weird. It was interesting and all, but seriously hard to follow since it was spliced up and recited in different parts of the game. I can't remember yesterday, much less what the last thing a character said. You can watch in on YouTube and hear it all at once, but I still have to have the words to follow along with. Confusing, I know. Wow, I'm thinking up so much stuff right now I can hardly concentrate.... Or type straight. Backspace is your friend! You know you can find Vincent in the basement at Nibelheim? I thought that was funny. But it also made me sad. Poor Vinny.
Honestly there's only about 3 or 5 things that I hated about the game, and they are...
1. It made me like Aerith.
2. I finished the game at about level 39. Usually you finish a Final Fantasy around 50. Or at least I do.
3. The ending. I bawled my eyes out. Well, not really. But the little crying I did was the equivalent of bawling since I never cry.
4. The Cloud-kabob scenario. I'd heard of it, but it still made me sad to watch. Poor Cloud.
5. Zack's new hair. I liked it better the original way he had it.
I feel this is pretty long, so I'll end it here. But I'll probably put another thing up with videos from stuff I've talked about... TTYL! Err... S! (That's soon instead of later. See what I did there?)

FFXIII, finally!
Just a little note here that, in case you've been living under a rock and have no idea, Final Fantasy XIII is set for March 9, 2010 on PS3 and 360. I was so excited when I found out I almost crapped puppies :D

KH W-- Well, you know.
So I was looking through Legend of Zelda flair on Facebook (I'm such a dork, I know) and I remembered, "Hey, I've got a blog!" So here I am, on with the show...
Well, I'm extremely disappointed in this for changing their layout. I can't find a list of worlds anywhere... At least not an alphabetical one. I do however love the red.
Uhhggg, more searching and still no luck. I even tried Google and Wikipedia. Until someone gets their ducks in a row, I don't feel like messing with it.

We're baaaaaaaaaaaaack....
Whew! What's this? I'm on a computer? Huh, forgot this was here. I've been hittin that PSP my friend gave me so hard, I'm surprised it's not part of my personal anatomy yet. Expect some Dissidia, Crisis Core, and Tomb Raider stuff soon.
Aw heck, This was gonna be a KH World review, but since I mentioned it, Dissidia is just about the best FF game I've played...
"Yo, I'm real happy for you and Imma let you finish, but Final Fantasy VII was the greatest Final Fantasy game of all time!!"
Can't say I disagree with that.
This game is pretty much a crossover of all the Final Fantasy games up to X, so that's a LOT of characters... Like 20? Cause you've got one good guy and one bad guy from each of them. Sure, the story kind of lacks a bit, and it can get tiring playing through all the stuff you've already seen, but the actual gameplay and pretty much everything else you could think of makes up for it. And it looks fantastic! But I might not be used to the PSP yet and maybe all the games look like this. Gotta say Tomb Raider was kind of blocky. Anyway, I haven't played all of the characters yet (I've worked all of them up to Onion Knight, in difficulty, so I'm actually pretty close) but I have to say my favorite to play with has been Zidane so far. FFIX is sooo the next game on my list....

358/2 Days Org. XIII Members Review
Finally got a copy of my beloved, long awaited 358/2... Obviously I haven't completed the entire game yet, but I have played as all the members in Mission mode. Well, all the original members, none of the secret ones yet... Anyway, I felt like reviewing them, so here we go.
I had fun playing with Xemnas. He has lightsabers!! That automatically makes him cool. Fighting, he's pretty quick, but just walking he's a bit of a slowpoke. Heck, he doesn't walk -- he floats. Chalk another one up for the cool factor!! The limit break is weird, though. It's like a giant sphere of doom that actually isn't that doomtacular.
Xigbar was a pain. Sure, he attacks pretty quick, but with every attack, he flies backward. It's not easy hitting your target unless you've got a wall behind him to keep him in place and loosing the lock on. Plus he misses a lot, and sometimes I don't even think he's attacking. The limit break was kind of cool though. It kind of reminded me of Halo.... But you zoom in and take out your enemies in sniper fashion.
Xaldin was pretty cool, too. Even though he flies up sometimes when attacking, making stuff on the ground harder to hit, his attacks were pretty good ... Fast enough, too. His limit break was some swishy whirly thing that did pretty good damage... He better be a good fighter, after the way he messed me up at Beast's Castle in II.
Didn't like Vexen. I mean honestly, who fights with a shield? Yes, that includes Goofy. Only reason I keep him around is for Valor Form. Anyway, IV is a magic geared fighter, and attack magic isn't really my thing. I didn't play long enough with him to find out what his limit break was.
I had hopes for Lexaeus. I saw the high attack and HP stats and thought "Now THIS will be fun." but Oooohhhhh how I was wrong. He's slower than a snail joggin through molasses, plus hard to steer and hard to get to hit what you want unless you're locked on. Limit break was pretty pointless, too.
Zexion is another magic character, so I didn't like him too much. And a book? What where they thinking? "Hey, Imma attack you with my big scary book and crazy emo hair!" ... No offence to emos. I don't know what kind of label I'd be, but I've been called emo before. ... I don't think I remember his limit break. That's short term memory loss for you.
Saix was OK. He attacked pretty fast and had a long range, two things I appreciate. His attacks weren't that strong though. He didn't really want to go where you told him either. Limit break was real confusing though. First time I saw it I was kind of like "WHAT is going ON??!!" Basically it's a mass hysteria version of Roxas's limit but you can't see what the heck you're doing or where you're going.
I had fun with Axel, too. Even for a close range character, the battle design was nicely executed. And why can't I remember all these limit breaks???!!!
Demyx!!! I remember his!! But as far as regular fighting goes, I wasn't that happy with. He's extremely close range and doesn't hit very strong. Limit break is kind of like stuff he did in KHII. Which is nice, since I hoped he'd have SOMETHING cool about him.
Luxord was weird to get used to playing. His cards make him kind of a close fighter, but they circle around him so he's good for large groups of heartless. I didn't get the limit break though... A card just pops up. I guess it's kind of like a shield, but it only pops up on one side of him so it's not a very good one...
Heeeey Marly!! (Inside joke) Marluxia was the first Organization character I played as, and I wasn't dissappointed. The scythe is pretty cool and he's easy to handle. Limit break is good for taking out lots of enemies, which is usually what's around you when your health gets that low anyway.
I wanted to like Larxene, I really did, but I just couldn't. She's fast, but that's about it. Her attacks didn't hit very hard, but she had enough stamina to survive a decent amount of time. Her limit is sort of a cross between Roxas, Axel, and Saix's. Fast and all over the place, but doesn't hurt a lot.
And Roxas's stuff is just stuff I'm used to, so I'm not going into detail. If you're any kind of KH fan, you already know how he works. And I played all these characters using the same panels as what I had set for Roxas, so some of them might not've reached their potential, but I wasn't messing with ol' Roxy's stuff. Out of all the characters (excluding Roxas), I'd have to say my favorites were Marly, Xaldin, and Xemnas. I just love a man in pink.

Worlds continuted...
Whew! Finally pulled myself off FFX long enough to type something. For hating that game for so long, I sure am playing it a whole lot lately.... Oh well.
Hundred Acre Wood!! Aww, I love this place.... Yes, I'm a sucker for Winnie the Pooh. Even if it's just a bunch of mini games, it's an awful cute world. It's pretty much impossible to hate this place.
Monstro, uhhggg, I really hated this place. The KHI world based on Pinocchio, the whole thing takes place inside the giant whale. I haven't seen that movie since I was little, but I'm pretty sure the whole movie's not inside some big ugly whale. Plus if they were going to do a world inside an animal, they should've taken a look at Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time first. Y'know, the dungeon Lord Jabu Jabu's Belly? If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm sorry you have lived such a poor deprived childhood. But it would freak me out to know my insides were rainbow... Ok, no it wouldn't. That would be awesome!!
Neverland, the Peter Pan world... Just in KHI, right? I don't remember... Anyway, I thought it was a nice touch, taking place on the ship and the clock tower. But why not make the game where you could play on the island? I would've loved to find the Lost Boy's hideout. And you can fly here!! That automatically makes this world cool.
One more... Olympus Collusium, the Hercules world in KHI, CoM, and II. In the first game it was OK I guess, just somewhere to show off your mad keyblade skills that aren't actually that great yet. You can fight Sephy here too in KHI, something I actually haven't done yet... Nobody likes CoM, so I'm not going to say much about it. II has a lot more to offer in this world. They added the Underworld in this one, with its own battle arena since the one on the surface world has been destroyed (SPOILERISH!!!). But you know what the best part about this world is? Auron!! It's the man himself. Who knew when he dissappeard to the Farplane, he actually went to Kingdom Hearts? Plus another thing... "Jump up on the Hydra's back!" Ohhh man that cracks me up every time... Best thing to do with a video game -- find "That's what she said" moments.

KH Worlds continued...
Next on the list is a world called Enchanted Dominion, based on Sleeping Beauty and set to appear in BbS.. Sounds good to me, Aurora was always one of my favorite princesses.
End of the World, the last or penultimate world in KHI. I haven't played that game in forever.... But if memory serves me correctly (but it usually doesn't, heads up) this place was unique... But really hard. You get a quick little flashback to all the worlds you've been to before going into the tough stuff. Wait, I don't think this is the right world.... Or is it??
Ahh Halloween Town, based on The Nightmare Before Christmas. Y'know, I never knew that was a Disney movie till I played this game. Go figure. And I still get excited about Halloween and want to dress up, despite my mom telling me that people think teenagers on Halloween are out to cause trouble. It's free candy and stupid costumes, how awesome is that!! I think I'm going as a White Mage this year... Loosely based on this, only less skimpy. Anyway, I've always liked this world... Except in CoM, but I didn't like a whole lot in that one. I especially loved how they added in Christmas Town in KHII, it added in more flavor. Plus it was seriously sweet, Sora thinking of Kairi. See people?! That's not gay!! Makes me so mad.
One more, cause I feel like it. Hollow Bastion, later known as Radiant Garden. Uhh was this one in KHI? Cause I think it was just Traverse Town there... Anyway, in KHII it's pretty cool. Definitely one of the biggest worlds in the game, especially compared to Disney Castle. For Donald and Goofy complaining about it being so big, it's only got about 5 rooms not counting Timeless River (which in my defence is technically a different world.) Anyway, this is where you'll find Yuffie, Cid, Squall (Leon to all you non-FFVIII playing peeps), Cloud, Tifa, Sephy, Aerith (who is magically alive??), and probably more FF characters I'm forgetting or just too lazy to type. This world's just kind of a jack of all trades.

News, updates, and random stuffs!!
IGN has some new footage of FFXIII, so go check that out before your head explodes out of impatience like mine almost has. And I mean TONS of footage!! Slap it all together, add some audio, and you got yourself a commercial! Sadly there's still no American release date, just sometime in Spring 2010. I just realized how sad it is that I can type 'Final Fantasy' so fast it skips letters. And I bet Wikipedia's tired of looking up the same thing over and over and over and over.....
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days comes out Tuesday, and I've been waiting for that one for a while.... Don't ask me how long, I couldn't tell you. Heck, I barely even remember yesterday. But if you don't already know, 358/2 is for the DS and follows the story of Roxas when he was in the Organization. There's no new worlds in this one, but it does fill in the gap in the story and you get to play an entire game as Roxas, my personal favorite character... I have my reasons which are not to be discussed, and no, it's not what you're thinking. Plus a multiplayer mode!! It's nice that they thought of that. That makes it the first multiplayer KH game and the first time you can play as a girl, first Larxene and then Xion. With all these good reviews, it'll be hard NOT to get your hands on a copy.
Another thing I just noticed is that Halo 3: ODST is really popular. Yes, I've played Halo (not very well) and it was fine an dandy when I wasn't getting masacred.... Which was EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!..... Was fun though. And what does ODST stand for?? It's probably something I'd have to play the game to get. Oh well, my dad doesn't like all those war games so I'll just have to play it over at my nephew's place.

More KH worlds.....
Next on the list is ..... Deep Space?? .... Ok, I learned how to use the search!! How random... Anyway, this world is based in Lilo and Stitch and will be in Birth by Sleep. SPOILERISH!!!
Destiny Islands.... as far as I remember, this world was only playable in KHI. And MAN was it boring!! Worst part of the game, in my opinion. You basically just learn how to play and collect a ton of useless things for Sora, Riku, and Kairi's "journey"...
Disney Castle!! The world we saw in KHI and played in II. Man I actually love this place!! Especially that big white room that leads to the one that goes to the Steamboat Willie place. Great place for showing off on that old skateboard. Speaking of which, I need to get Lucas to show me how to ride one since my former mentor has been.... Indisposed. Anyway, this place looks really cool and the garden is a nice reference to one of my favorite cartoons...
Dwarf Woodland??? Must be another BbS world. Sounds like Snow White, but I'm too lazy to go and check....

More KH reviews!!
K, I'm gona get right into this one... But by putting this I kind of already messed that up... Go figure.
Castle Oblivion..?? Umm I have to remember this one... -goes to Google- ... Oh well. I'm pretty sure that's the place from KH:CoM. Well it's what I'm going with. This castle is one messed up place. I'm not talkin like Beatles acid trip messed up, I mean like Twilight Zone messed up.... Or just messed up like Twilight. I hate that book. Ok, so you're looking for Riku and King Mickey and end up here because Pluto led you here. Bad dog!!... But it does set up for KHII. That's why if you haven't ever played CoM you're not gonna get the beginning of KHII. Or if you're like me, you played CoM first since all you had was a GBA. Don't worry, I have played KHI and II by now.
Umm ok next it says Castle of Dreams. Since I've never heard of it, I'm assuming that's a new world for KHIII or some other game they're working on. SPOILERISH!!!
Deep Jungle, the Tarzan world from KHI. Man, I really hated this place. But maybe I've been out-Tarzaned. Meh, either way it's not too much like the movie in my opinion. I did like the end of the world, though, with all those blue butterflies. Were they butterflies? I don't remember...

Beatles Rock Band!!
Yes, it finally happened! The Beatles, no, THE Beatles, finally got their own game, and it came out today! Plus I'm actually speaking from experience this time since I actually have the game. Since it's close enough to my birthday, my parents went ahead and gave me my 360. Best. Birthday. EVER!!!
If you even remotely like the Beatles, you'll probably like this game. I used to be real big on them before I hit the hard rock stage, but I knew enough of their work to know some songs on there. And this one's just Beatles. You won't find any Kinks, Konks, Monkeys, or any other 60's group on there. All Beatles. All the time. Plus it's nice to play a music game with a guitar with no lag or sticky buttons. And my star power works again!! I'm tellin ya, my PS2 guitar was some kind of messed up.
One thing I like about his game is all the things it used to stay true to the Beatles theme. You can unlock pictures of when they were on tour and the career mode follows their actual career. The graphics range from playing on stage to trippy acid-inspired dream worlds since playing in a recording studio would've been too boring. Have you seen I Am The Walrus? Go look that up on YouTube. My dad likes the game too, but he grew up with the music... I think it's neat to hear it from his perspective though. Plus my parents don't complain about how loud or repetitive it is like the other Guitar Heros I've played.
The Beatles are a classic thing. If you don't like them, you won't like the game. I guess it's part of the generation gap, but hopefully this game can close that up a bit.

KH world review...s??
Yes, I am bored. I'm waiting for my nephew's football game to start so I've not nothing else to do but this. I'm gonna try to go in alphabetical order cause that's what the website has put the worlds in and hopefully I'll get in two or three at a time so I won't waste so much space.
And the first world is... Agrabah, the world based on Aladdin, and in KH 1, CoM, and 2. In the first game, it pretty much follows the story of the original Aladdin movie as far as I can remember. If you have not seen that move, I am sorry you have lived such a deprived childhood. CoM... Well, that game is pretty much a piece of crap now that I've played the PS2 games. It's a game full of block rooms and cards, not much to it. In KHII, I thought it was a nice touch giving us more in the Cave of Wonders. I mean why not? It's not much of a challenge at level 72 (where I am right now) but hey, it's still fun.
Next is Atlantica, a.k.a. The Little Mermaid. It was fine in the first game. I actually liked Atlantica, with all the swimming and the fishies and everything, it was very unique. CoM didn't even let you swim or change costumes or NOTHING. Like I said, piece of crap. That isn't the worst of it, wait until you get to KHII. Know what you do in Atlantica? Sing. It's like frickin High School Musical, the underwater version. Of course it's an easy world, but have you ever heard Donald Duck singing? It's not too pretty. Goofy doesn't do that great either, but Sora's tolerable. Or maybe I just don't like show music, which is very possible. Basically I stayed here long enough to get the item for my Ultima Blade and never touched the place since. However, Atlantica in 2 follows the movie's story line a bit closer, where 1 kind of did it's own thing.
One more, cause I'm really bored: Beast's Castle (Beauty and the Beast), only in KHII. I honestly really liked this world. It looks a lot like the movie as far as characters and some scenery, but my favorite room is the ballroom. I thought it was kind of mean you couldn't go out on the patio, though. It could've stood to stick a bit closer to the movie, but I guess that's what this game is -- taking a Disney movie and putting it in another prospective, perhaps one from a 15-year-old... I can relate to that. Then again, I am 15. Go figure.

New concept-thingy??
Since I'm out of things to talk about until FFXIII comes out and I've been playing waaaaay too much Kingdom Hearts, I figured, "Why not review some of the worlds?" I know, totally random. But hey, it's a thought. This is pretty much just here to help me remember later, cause I WILL forget.

VII vs. VIII??
Yeah, this is old stuff (especially after talking about Batman earlier) but you have to think, was Final Fantasy VII or VIII better?? VII was THE FF game and it probably was hard for Square to come back with a game just as good. I thought VIII was better than VII after only playing to the 2nd disk... But I could be a sap for love stories. Crap, there's that pesky estrogen again.
Final Fantasy VII follows the story of Cloud Strife as he tries to figure out where he's been for the past seven years and how to fix his future. You start out blowing up Mako reactors in the town of Midgar and eventually get out to stop the bad guy, Sephiroth, from destroying the rest of the world. (Along the way, you can make Cloud fall in love with Barret, Yuffie, Aerith/Aeris, or Tifa. Just something random and pointless I thought I'd throw in. Aerith gets killed though. SPOILER!!) Anyway, you -- obviously -- kill Sephiroth in the end but not before he's summoned this giant hunk of black magic that's now coming to kill the planet. (Sure, that's a bit off, but I haven't played this game in a while.) Know how it ends? It doesn't. The epilogue takes place 500 years later. I was so disappointed in the ending, I cried and experienced emotionall scarring with slight loss of sanity. I didn't recover until I watch Advent Children the next day.
Final Fantasy VIII is about Squall Leonhart and his friends who all end up with amnesia, a common ailment in the FF world. Yeah, that's about all I know since my game broke on the second disk. Trust me, it's good, but it is hard. The only reason I got so far in it so quickly is because I didn't know where the map was and I wondered around for about an hour, forcing me to level up. If it works it works, I guess.
I know a ton of people who despise VIII with a passion, but have they given the story a try? I think it's pretty interesting, as is the story in VII. Really, I can't say a thing on VIII since I can't finish it, but I'm not really complaining since VII was so good. So the question is, FF VIII or VII??

Batman gets a World Record??
Yup, just heard it from IGN -- Batman: Arkam Asylum was so good, they had to tell Guinness about it. Here's a montage of the game, a preview, and the news itself.
I'm no Batman fan, but hey, I gotta admit, it looks as good as they say it is. And it's out now, too!!

FFXIII Update!!
Sweetness! FFXIII is almost finished for the 360 and will be on 3 disks. Ahh, it will remind me of the good old days when nothing was on just one disk. FFVII anyone?
Another game I just heard about was one called Avatar. I don't know about anyone else, but I was expecting that cartoon that used to be on Nick that my mom loved to watch (is that weird?). Obviously, that isn't what this is, but it looks awesome. Apparently it's going to be a movie, too.
Last one is another exciting one for me -- a first look at Start Wars: The Old Republic. May the force be with you!!
--Here's the IGN version. It's a lot better than mine.--
Now this part isn't video game related, but word should get out about this. This guy, Bobby Joe Blythe, is/was a karate, or something similar to it, instructor. In 1984 he filmed one of his students attack and kill a mentally handicapped person. The video was uploaded recently and taken down but not before making it's way around the internet. I want to know what kind of person stands by and watches this happen. Here's the video and a bit more about it.

PRICE DROP!!!
YES! It finally happened -- The PS3 got a price drop to $299!! Oh, yeah, and the Slim came out. I'm definitely more excited about the fact that I only have to save 300 bucks now instead of 400. Check out the IGNness here.
Seriously important question: PS3 or 360? I don't want none of that 'ooohh ps3 sux 360 ftw'. Fanboy crap, you know? I'm sorry, that was insensitive of me. There are fan girls out there, too, however small we may be. We have to stick together!

Hannah Montana PSP = Offensive??
I don't know about you, but one of the commercials that gets on my nerves the most is that PSP commercial where this chick is on the bus, at school, etc., playing this little Hannah Montana music game on a purple PSP. A) This girl has obviously NEVER played a video game in her life, and B) If they let you bring a PSP to school, I would be the first one to know... Plus the music in general makes me want to scrape my ears off the sides of my head. Yes, I am another one of those people sick and tired of her.
Not that I'm hatin' on the PSP or anything (I personally LOVE Sony); I've seen the new one here, and it's so awesome I might actually look into getting one. Anyway, the PSP comes in black, silver, and now purple, but only if you buy the $200 pack with a cruddy little Guitar Hero/Sims/whateverthecraptheythoughtof rip-off that you'll probably only play until you get a REAL game (like this one). They've even bumped up the interest factor by not calling it "purple", oh heavens no, it's "lilac". Sure, I think a purple PSP is kind of cool. I mean how often do the make systems in colors that aren't black or white? Plus I am a bit of a sucker for anything purple... But I would never put up with the shame of owning a Hannah Montana game just to get it. Basically all this would appeal to would be 12 and under little girls (or maybe gay guys... No offence or anything.)
This video right here is what got me started on all this. I think it makes a lot of good points. How 'bout we stop making games for girls and stop making games for guys and just make games for everybody? Technically, I'm not too offended by the PSP (been around too many guys, startin' to think I am one, I guess) but some people might be. My question (kind of for girls... Or you non-straight men if you want. Are you like little people and prefer to be called something? Heck, I don't know) is, Are you offended by the more female-geared games? I kind of am, 'cause all the girly games suck. And I mean ALL of them SUCK suck. They double suck. All of them.
